Gayle ThompsonGayle Thompson RN, MN

Program Manager

Gayle is a graduate of the University of Alberta with Master Degree in Nursing. She has a background in emergency and cardiac nursing, nursing education, and program development.

 

She has been with the Alberta Provincial Stroke Strategy since April of 2007, initially as the Education Project Manager. In June of 2008, she assumed the role of Program Manager. In this role, she provides program management services for the overall strategy including the health care provider education initiative.

Carolyn WalkerCarolyn Walker, RN, BN

Stroke Education Coordinator

Carolyn's background is in management of acute stroke and secondary stroke prevention. Carolyn has worked in the area of stroke care since 1997 as a researcher, stroke program coordinator, clinical nurse specialist and educator. Her responsibilities as APSS Stroke Education Coordinator include curricula development, needs assessment, and building partnerships to promote continued stroke education.

Margaret GrantMargaret Grant Msc (OT-Post Professional), OT(c)

Rehabilitation Education Coordinator

Margaret's background is in Occupational Therapy. She has worked with stroke survivors across the continuum of care. Her responsibilities as APSS Rehabilitation Education Coordinator include needs assessment, curricula development, coordinating other rehabilitation professionals to develop educational materials and building partnerships for continued stroke rehabilitation education.
